The Global Health Observatory (GHO) is the WHO’s gateway to health-related statistics for the entire world.
The aim of the GHO portal is to provide easy access to country data and statistics with a focus on comparable estimates and to offer WHO analyses to monitor global, regional, and country-specific situations and trends.
In 2013, 95.7 percent of the worldwide population suffered either from a chronic or acute illness, a wound, or some other form of physical injury, meaning that only a very small percentage of people were not ill.
