As the role of digital applications continue to increase in our daily lives, hospitals are now adapting their healthcare delivery to patients. Hospitals are undergoing a digital transformation to reinvent themselves and become the “connected” facilities of tomorrow. The focus is no longer solely on hospital personnel, but more on the patient.
Following treatment, it is standard practice for patients to remain under observation at the hospital, often for several days, to detect any complications and monitor their health.
Platforms for doctor-patient dialogs are currently being developed for remote checkups. Physicians can use these new methods to obtain real-time information about their patients’ health and set up appointments only when truly needed. This new process generates enormous amounts of data, but unfortunately nearly 80 percent of this information is not properly documented and cannot be used effectively.
